Audio was run down the A pillar as well and through the dash to the back of the factory head unit. Interfaced with the unit with a wired FM modulator using the Metra 40-KI31 antenna adapter kit. Works beautifully and I'm not usually a fan of FM modulators. FYI - we were going to splice into the AUX in but that meant if the kids were using headphones we couldn't use the iPod and listen to something else.
Aug 23, 2016 The factory Kia DVD player is sn antiquated pile. That is ridiculous. There are so many better options. First thing that comes to mind is buying a couple 9' Samsung tablets/pads. Costco has them on ad for around $300 right now. The kids can play games, watch movies, Wi-Fi tethering for gaming, etc.

It and the center speaker trim are WAY more than just secure.I feel like I am going to BREAK them when removing them. If you ever have to remove the center console (for running wires from dash to amps under seats,etc).The trim piece around the shifter is the same 'pull real hard' clips.then to get clearance between the floor and console for running wires, you have to remove a 12mm bolt in a REAL deep hole at the back of the console.
