So I thought I'd post the solution I did find. Microsoft does have a builtin one that works for textboxes and bound controls. But If you want a unbound datetimepicker. You can take a standard textbox and set the 'format' property to some sort of date format and the 'Show Date Picker' property to 'For dates', and it will show the drop down calendar type control on the right of your textbox when you click into it.
